Based on the Supply Order issued by the Procurement Cell, the General Store receives the items/ equipment from the supplier along with original bills, keep the items/ equipment in stores, get it inspected by committee and issued to user department through indent book. After completion store entries, original bills sent to Accounts Section for payment. General Store also responsible to receive items through local purchase and donated items to the Institute. It maintains Day book, sub-stock register and Asset Register and through inspection yearly closing takes place on 31st march of every year. General Store also maintains required quantity of consumables and stationary items.
